Overview

Dina’s Italian Deli, nestled on Sheridan Road in Zion, Illinois, offers an inviting slice of Italy in a relaxed, neighborhood setting. This restaurant’s charm lies in its authentic Italian fare, with a menu that highlights classic dishes like the Italian Sub and the hearty Chicken Parmesan paired with a side of four meatballs. These staples bring a comforting familiarity while showcasing a dedication to traditional flavors.

The space itself is warm and welcoming, still evolving with plans to expand seating, add big screens, and introduce a full-service bar. This hints at a lively atmosphere that will blend casual dining with community gathering, ideal for families, friends, and local patrons looking for a genuine Italian experience. The presence of slots and a bar imbues the deli with a distinct character, merging food with social entertainment.

Customer experiences capture the spirit of the place. One diner praised the quality of their pizza and the attentive, personable staff, particularly highlighting Carla, who embodies the friendly and down-to-earth nature of the team. 5+3 We were leaving the Kingdom Hall, looking for some place to eat on Wednesday night. We saw the lights on going down Sheridan road. So my wife said why don't we just stop and see if we can get some food to go. Really really nice place. Not quite finished yet, I believe there will be more big screens, a full-service bar, and a larger menu! The pizza we ordered, cheese and sausage, was very good! No complaints there, 16" of tastiness. And, I will mention the young lady Carla who made the pizzas for us late in the evening and serves the drinks at the bar, very classy and has a beautiful family. Stop in and chat get a drink leave a nice tip! Of course they have the slots, everybody seems to enjoy that. I don't gamble so the food is what gets my attention and the staff which are very nice. When everything is done, it'll be one of the nicer places in the area, actually it already is!

Enjoyed the food. I had the Gnocchi and 4 Meatballs. There was enough for two meals. Even though I enjoyed the food, I was disappointed because the Gnocchi was supposed to be in a vodka sauce, it was like a marinara sauce. I asked the gentleman about it, comparing it to other restaurants, he said that the other restaurants use cream in the sauce and they don’t. Sorry, then you shouldn’t say “Gnocchi in a vodka sauce”.
